STATE OF THE ART M205 TRIPOD FOR THE BROWNING .50 CALIBER MACHINE GUN OR MK-19 AUTOMATIC GRENADE LAUNCHER.
This modern 34 pound tripod for the Browning .50 caliber machine gun is 16 pounds lighter than the earlier standard M3 tripod and has a traverse and elevation mechanism which allows for more accuracy (better indexing) when engaging targets. This mechanism also can be adjusted with one hand which frees up the other (to hold optics to spot with, for instance). Despite the reduced weight this tripod is stronger and more stable when hastily deployed than the M3 tripod. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent matte gray original finish with some handling marks and evidence of use. Not a common tripod seen on the recreational shooting ranges.
