Made about 25 years ago by then Bohlin Company CEO and President, David Samuels for promotional purposes as a testament to what he envisioned the iconic Southern California “Saddlemaker to the Stars” was capable of producing under his tutelage, these exquisite, one-of-a-kind parade spurs artistically combine the most dazzling and detailed historical Bohlin patterns using many of the original early dies. Sterling overlaid blanks are adorned with three-color rose, green and yellow gold mountings that include intricate rose gold floral scroll work on the heel bands and shanks, green gold 6-petal flowers and a yellow gold twisted rope edge. The band is highlighted with a raised 3-color Indian Chief in full headdress. Verso is similarly adorned with pink rose gold scroll work, green gold flowers and a yellow gold tip that secures the Bohlin trademark cookie-cutter rowel with engraved silver inset washers. Not to be outdone by the spurs, the lovely two-piece, floral carved, filigreed and laced leathers are mounted with 6-petal silver flowers with rose gold nipples, a prominent domed 2-piece silver concho with raised flower, rose pistil and twisted yellow gold rope edge. The straps adjust via 3-piece, silver and three-color gold filigreed buckle sets. The spurs include a solid oak display stand and a rose gold Bohlin seat plate with “David S. Samuels” name engraved thereon. Much of the work on these spurs was done for Bohlin by Charlie Feroze (CF) who is Ahmad Khan's (AK) cousin.
