1881 pattern helmet with Ridabock & Co. interior label. Signal corps side buttons with torch and flags, orange helmet cord and deep yellow plume, possibly color shift from orange. Front plate is 1881 pattern with separately applied gilt thunderbolt shooting upwards in a fan. Interior with handwritten "Bill Gray 88." CONDITION: Very good. No dents or cracks to body. Nice color to fabric. Brass matches in patina with plume holder a tad brighter. Sweatband intact, with minor rubs. Minor wear to lower edges of helmet and reverse center of helmet cord. Some names and numbers inside crossed out.
