Nice example of a World War II front seam swivel bale helmet with equally nice liner. The heat stamp remains clear and reads "899E". The liner is marked with the Firestone F in shield and "A 20". Both the liner helmet shell and liner feature a pair of silver captain's bars and the liner features a 21st Corps decal. The 21st Corps commenced combat operations on January 17, 1945, participated in the fierce fighting at toward the end of the war, and was deactivated in Germany on September 30, 1945. CONDITION: The shell retains most of its original green paint with textured popcorning and scattered blemishes from handling and wear. Original khaki chinstrap remains attached to the bales. The liner also retains most of its original green paint with light wear to the decal. There are scattered blemishes from being removed from the helmet. Webbing remains intact and sturdy, with typical cracking noticeable on the leather components. Missing leather chinstrap. A very clean example of a WWII M1 helmet.

CORRECTION: Photos updated.
