About 900 Colt Model 1851 "KM" (Konigliche Marine) Navy marked revolvers were owned by the Prussian Royal Navy and have serial numbers between 31627 and 39496. They were confiscated in 1855 by the Prussian Government from a stock of 3,000 pieces for the Russian Government. Of these approximately 900 were marked with the desirable (KM) marking. With each of these revolvers a specially designed holster which incorporated a pocket for an additional loaded cylinder, a slant charger Colt Navy powder flask, a long rectangular brass capper and a combination nipple wrench were provided by Colt. The KM and numbers were stamped on the revolvers and accouterments when they were received in Prussia (Germany). This unique and rare grouping includes a correct Konigliche Marine marked 1851 Colt Navy holster, powder flask, and capper. CONDITION: Revolver has matching serial numbers on the barrel, loading lever, frame, trigger guard, cylinder, and backstrap. Correct "KM 750" marking on top of backstrap. All original unmolested screws (with exception of wedge screw). Revolver is in very fine condition with a pleasing overall brown patina. One piece walnut grips are excellent. Trigger guard and backstrap a soft mustard color patina. Excellent clean bore. The Colt Navy flask is in fine overall condition with correct slanted charger and "KM 378" marking. The rectangular capper is complete with correct lanyard, has a beautiful overall dark patina with correct "KM" marking. This is a rare and historical grouping with only 30 known to survive. From the prestigious Swiss collection of Peter P. Blatter, and is featured in the book of Austrian Navy firearms "Faustfeuerwaffen der deutschen Marine 1840-1918 by Heinrich E. Harder. MKS
