Round Damascus screwbarrel with multi-groove rifling, top marked “Brull a Paris”. Muzzle with four slotted groove for wrench. Faceted breech finely engraved with scrolls and flowers on each panel. Engraved action with hammer on right side. Action and hammer inlaid with gold borders and engraved with detailed floral motifs and scroll patterns, folding trigger engraved "en suite". Left side of action inlaid with a gold pheasant and engraved, surrounded by a silver inlaid border. Rectangular gold inlaid wrist escutcheon inscribed with a formal “A”. Ebony grip with faceted and engraved steel buttcap with turned finial, swings to side in order to open nipple reservoir. Good condition, light grey patina to steel surfaces, some light pitting near breech, engraving crisp. Grip shows a few light scattered marks from use.
