Originally manufactured circa December 1943 this rifle was updated by the American Machine and Foundry Company of York, Pennsylvania for the US Navy in the 1960s. The new made "12 65" dated Springfield barrel has correct "7.62 MM AMF -P- 7.62 NATO" stamping. Post-War sights and assembled internals. USGI walnut stock with DOD cartouche and circle "P" firing proof. Rifle sports a USGI leather sling with "MRT / 06-11" ink stamp. Included CMP certificate and invoice indicates it shipped as a "MK02 MOD 1 Barreled Receiver" in 2013. CONDITION: Very Good. Nearly all of the arsenal parkerized finishes are retained with light wear. Stocks are very good as reoiled with scattered nicks and dings. Excellent, near new bore. Fine mechanics.
