A faithful semi-automatic version of the Soviet Degtyaryov light machine gun, produced with a combination of military surplus components and new made parts from Wise Lite Arms, including a semi-automatic only closed bolt receiver. The Degtyaryov and its variants were widely used as infantry support and vehicle mounted weapons by most all Soviet Bloc nations as well as being used by the Chinese in the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Korean War. Adjustable pin front and tangent rear sights, with "1953" behind the rear sight, maker's markings on the right side of the frame, and the signature pan magazine, with rotating top cover, on top. Fitted with a ventilated heat shield, a swiveling steel bipod, grip safety immediately behind the trigger guard and a smooth semi-pistol grip stock with a sling swivel and integral grease container. Comes with standard 47 round pan pattern DP 28 Magazine. CONDITION: Very fine as finished by Wise Lite. 98% of the matte blue finish remains with only edge wear at muzzle and high points. Barrel is bright and shiny and action operates properly under manual operation.
