The live portion of this session begins on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
This mid-war gun dates to 1943. The frame is stamped "MILITARY FINISH" along with US and Ordnance bomb. The top barrel breech is also stamped US with bomb. Shotgun features the plain walnut stock with pistol grip, matching forearm, and a black Remington butt plate. The front sight bead is missing. According to Bruce Campbell in his Combat Shotgun book, this example falls into the appropriate 455000 to 500000 range. The referred to Military Finish indicates it was finished in a less polished state for the government sales. CONDITION: Fine. Retains about 90% of its blue showing sundry handling marks. The stock is fine with some scattered impressions and the forearm displays the usual fine and tight hairline cracks at frame. Bore is clean.
