Made at Tula arsenal in 1941. Lightly refurbished. Matching numbers on all parts except magazine. None of the parts appear to be "force matched", however the trigger guard is Izhevsk production and it would seem the original number was ground off and the matching number applied at time of refurbishment. Stock was arsenal scraped and refinished. Import marked on the right side of the receiver. The top rear of the receiver is grooved for a sniper scope mount, probably done at time of refurbishment. Russian made sling. CONDITION: Retains 95% arsenal applied finish overall, some light pitting under finish on ventilated steel hand guard. All markings are sharp and clear. Wood has some light handling marks and a couple arsenal repairs. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. GR
