(M) DESIRABLE FRANCHI SPAS-12 DUAL ACTION SHOTGUN.

Manufactured in Italy in 1983 and imported by FIE. Initially developed as the "Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun" for military and police use, the guns can both run as a semi-auto or a manually operated slide action. They were specifically banned from import by name in the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban. Matte gray finished with a tactical length barrel with heavy blade front sight, aperture rear sight, and full length magazine tube. Ribbed black polymer slide and pistol grip. This example features the early top folding stock with iconic hook butt. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the original finishes are retained with some mild rubs. Bore shows some evidence of use. Mechanics are somewhat sticky.
