This is an Auto Ordnance, Bridgeport manufactured gun with “AA 1450” serial number hand stamped on the left side of the receiver to the rear of the original typical M1A1 markings. One can also discern the very small “Interarms, Alex, VA” markings which are the importer markings. Gun includes one “Seymour” 30 round magazine and an original NOBUCKL sling. A classic WW2 U.S. Military Thompson with “GEG” (civilian inspector George E. Goll) proofs on left side of the receiver and clear “U.S. Property” markings to rear of the rear sight. “P” proofmark at top of smooth barrel. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent with dull gray refinished blue on upper and lower receiver with deep lustrous blue on bolt and magazine. Buttplate finish thinned to a gray patina visible underneath flaking enamel paint. Wood is extremely fine with some light handling marks and a bit of darkening to the wood at the buttplate. Bore is extremely fine shiny and bright. Bolt face very fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. A very nice specimen.
