Fine to extremely fine Finnsh Lahti with typical “20 PST. Kiv. /39” with VKT Logo on left side of receiver and serial number. Boldly engraved “SA” marking to left of serial number. Barrel is SN 955 and does not match receiver SN. Muzzle break appears to be a high-quality faithful replacement. Accessories include 8 magazines, 4 Magazine boxes of which one has a leather hinge, original wooden box gunner’s tool kit which is nearly complete including 4 section brass cleaning rod, brushes, 2 take-down wrenches (spanners), broken case extractor, spare firing pin, 3 coil springs, and 2 tin oilers as well as “strap-on” carrying pad for attachment just forward of the butt to ease the burden for the gunner when moving this gun. Original “SA” marked gun cover also included as are three rounds of original 20 mm ammunition headstamped “20B” and dated “40”. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very fine deep lustrous blue original finish with some scattered areas of light pitting, particularly at the top of the original shoulder pad, and on the bottom of the pistol grip guard. Otherwise finish is thinning to a pleasing gray patina at the barrel, with brown patina visible through holes of wood barrel guard. Receiver exhibits extremely fine to near excellent finish coverage. Wooden barrel guard very fine without any cracks. Wooden cheek rest very fine. Rubber extracted case bumper at bottom of receiver very fine. Rubber of shoulder rest is in good supple serviceable condition but needs to be reattached at the bottom where retention screw is not present. Combination skids/bipod in very good original condition. Firearm bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a registered destructive device and fires semi-automatic. Although bulky to move around it is more portable than many of it contemporaries, and ammunition is more or less available. Special note should be taken that the firer needs to be mindful of where both hands are when shooting this weapon as the expended case strikes the guard in front of the handgrip with great force. This is a very fine example of its kind and will the included accessories, a very nice ensemble. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS A DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE. JWK 18-60
