Very desirable German WW2 Raketenpanzerbuchse 54 rocket launcher complete with shield and extremely rare original face protector. Two inert slightly undersized display rounds are also included with this lot. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent as repainted and with “stick-on” letters applied. Glass vision pane in shield extremely fine with some light scratches, with spare present in shield compartments apparently still unopened in paper Bore also painted same green color as outside Mechanics of firing mechanism handle have good tension, and actuator “snaps” when release lever is depressed but otherwise does not actuate the firing mechanism at the rear of the tube. Metal parts seem to be in extremely fine condition under the paint. This was no “rusted post war battlefield pickup” which was painted over. Protective mask is in extremely fine condition and appears serviceable including felt headband and elastic retaining band. Display projectiles have a somewhat darker color green paint, close to the original color they would have had during WW2. A very interesting and attractive historical display piece for the German WW2 collecting enthusiast. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
