Attractive and eye-catching German World War II MG34 with receiver manufactured by Maget (WaA11) on a somewhat matching Waffenwerke Brunn (dot) parts kit which was manufactured in 1944. Serial number “6947” matches on shroud, top cover, and feed block. Buffer, buffer cup, and wood butt all match with serial number “5794”. In addition to what is in the gun, accessories include two spare barrels, three spare bolts, one spare booster cup, one assault drum, three 50 round belt segments, two starter tabs and a belt loading machine in can. None of the bolts or barrels match the gun’s serial number. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fine to extremely fine original finish with some loss of finish turning to a grey patina at the high edges, especially at the top cover latch, buffer ring, and booster. There is a small 2” long crack at the top of the butt running parallel to the bore line from the buffer cup. Consignor states that this gun runs well with Romanian steel cased and Yugoslavian brass cased ammunition. Bores runs from very good to extremely fine. Bolts all are fine to extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. A great example of the iconic class machined steel German belt fed machine gun from World War II. Just the thing for the World War II German military collector, and a gun that is great fun to shoot at the range as well. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE AS A PRE-86 DEALER SAMPLE ONLY TO ACTIVE CURRENT FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 ONLY.
