Three position “S. E. F." selector Heckler & Koch MP5SD3 registered receiver machine gun manufactured in 1984 according to “IE” proof code on top of receiver. Marked “Made in W. Germany / HK Chantilly, Va” on right side of magazine well, and “HK MP5 SD” on top of receiver. This cataloger needs to emphasize the fact that this is a factory original MP5 SD, not a remanufacture, or installed auto-sear gun. This specimen currently is fitted with a telescoping stock and an immediately recognizable screw-on factory silencer. An original fixed shoulder stock is also included. Four original straight “MP5 HK” marked magazines dated 11/67 are included with this lot as well as one “ID” marked 20 round magazine, a green three-cell magazine pouch, and original H&K sight adjustment tool. The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATF) has and may yet still be in the process of removing restrictions on previously “Pre-86 Dealer Sample” restricted machine guns which meet special and specific criteria of, “GOV Exception Use”. This is one such gun. Electronic NFA registry indicates “HECKLER AND KOCH GMBH” in the manufacturer’s blocks of both the gun, and silencer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original black hard coat finish. Exceptionally attractive. Composite furnishings of buttstock and pistol grip are near excellent. Factory original silencer serial number does not match this gun. Rifled bore is near excellent, shiny and bright, with firing residue in the silencer. Bolt near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. An exceptional factory original specimen of one of the most desirable of all modern machine guns. A fantastic opportunity for the discerning collector.
