This is one of 2,500 guns built using the Flues model action, commonly referred to as a "Model A". These were made from 1921 until 1925. 10" barrels are chambered for the 2 - 1/2" 20 gauge shell. Saw handle wood grip with large spur to help the hand absorb recoil. Engraved "AUTO & BURGLAR GUN/ ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA. NY" on either side of the receiver. This gun also has "CSJ 1745" stamped into the left side of the frame, the meaning of which is unknown. Matching numbers. Checkered grip and forend. This gun is accompanied by an original leather holster marked "Auto and Burglar Gun/ MADE BY/ ITHACA GUN CO./ ITHACA, N.Y.". NOTE: This gun is consecutive by factory serial number to previous gun in this auction. CONDITION: Retains 90% case colors on receiver. Barrels retain 90% blue. Markings are clear. Wood has minor handling marks, minor slivers missing where forend meets the barrels on sides. Checkering is sharp. Bores are fine. Fine mechanical function. Holster is solid with strong stitching and clear markings. There is some separation at the end plug and cracks and crazing along the outer edge. Leather is soft and pliable. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM WILL INCUR A $5.00 TRANSFER TAX IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4.
