Absolutely stellar example of the US M60 machine gun in its classic configuration. It includes three barrels total, one spare top cover, two grip assemblies, two spare bipod legs, two barrel bags, five cardboard ammo boxes with carrying bags, one combination tool, vertical tripod mounting head, four spare main springs and one heat protective mitten. The M60 machine gun was the staple for US forces during the Vietnam War and into the contemporary army era. Instantly recognizable by veterans and as seen in films, its steady rate of fire combined with the ability to quickly change barrels make it a very popular machine gun. Only external serial number is at left side of trunnion. Overall appearance and finish near mint. Barrel unfired. Feed tray shows only some slight brassing. Inside of receiver shows only the slightest wear from charging the bolt and closing the top cover. Top cover has a couple of nicks to the finish at the high edges. Composite furnishings also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp, barrel in gun extremely fine, shiny and bright as are spare barrels. This is an investment grade specimen of the very highest order, pretty much impossible to upgrade. A wonderful item for the modern American military historian and enthusiast. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
