Rectangular brass sling swivels at barrel shroud and butt end of shoulder loop. Parts kit without tube, barrel, or front sight. 4 original 32 round magazines are included with this lot. The Sten machine gun is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stamped parts. It was far less costly ($10.00 U.S. in 1942) and quicker to produce than any of the previous sub-machine guns the British had fielded, and were produced in great numbers for World War II. Includes a Sten "T" stock, World War II magazine loader. PROVENANCE: Copy of original Form 3 with transfer from Dan Shea, Long Mountain Outfitters, and inventory sheet from Ellis Prop liquidation listing this gun by serial number. CONDITION: Overall appearance quite fine although finish coverage just about nil revealing dull gray exposed metal with some light brown patina right where the tube would be grasped. The barrel and shoulder loop have remnants of black enamel paint flaking away to reveal brown patina. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is fine. This is a select fire machine gun. Parts kit is in very good condition overall. The Sten is a regular at machine guns shooting events. This gun exemplifies its World War II heritage by its condition and shows just how dependable they are.THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
