Outstanding high condition RIA manufactured M60E4 machine gun. This specimen incorporates desirable features for the modern military machine gun enthusiast. Bipod mounted on gas tube. Forearm incorporates rails on both sides and bottom for mounting accessories, including a vertical grip. Robust milled steel top cover also incorporates a rail making it easy to mount an optic of your choice. Belt box hanger mounted to left side of receiver. Left side of receiver is marked, “RIA”, “GENESEO, IL” with serial number. Underside of receiver marked “M-60” and “7.62 mm”. The M-60 machine gun was the mainstay belt-fed machine gun for the United States military throughout the latter part of the 20th century and continued in service in some capacity into the 21st. Electronic registry indicates “Rock Island Armory” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some slight handling marks, with slight loss of finish where the belt travels through the feedway. Also slight loss of finish at the top cover fastening pin to the receiver. Composite parts finish near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto-only machine gun. This is a fabulous example of the “modernized” M-60 machine gun for the discerning machine gun enthusiast.
