High condition Colt Commercial Model 1928 Browning water cooled machine gun as re-manufactured on D.L.O. registered sideplate. D.L.O sideplate markings and registration indicates “M1919A”. Safety switch present on right side of receiver, and scope mounting bracket on left side of receiver indicate this was one of the parts kits imported years ago from South America and made into a fully transferable machine gun. Original gun number on trunnion is "337". Accessories include a very attractive fine condition original Colt Commercial tripod with original data disk indicating "632". Other accessories include a custom made transit chest, four barrels (one is chrome lined .308), one unpainted wooden ammo box, one 250 round cloth belt, one pair of contemporary wood grips, one steam condensing hose, and a leather strap. Also included is some non-hazardous packing material for sealing the barrel in the water jacket. Front drain cap, cork, and chain present in plastic packet are also included. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent dull gray blue refinish upon re-manufacture. Original vintage wood grips have some dings and chips but remain serviceable. Water jacket simply near excellent outstanding condition as are the bronze trunnion and end cap. Barrels range from very good to near excellent bores. Bolt is marked 7.62mm with extremely fine bolt face. Mechanics are fine. This is a full-auto only machine gun. A very nice specimen, very well made and as a model this cataloger can attest they are fun to shoot! THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
