HK53 manufactured by Heckler & Koch in 1983 and subsequently imported by HK of Chantilly, VA. The left side of the receiver bears stampings stipulating the model designation, serial number, and the caliber designation above a German "(Eagle)/ N" commercial nitro proof, HK date code "ID" (83), as well as an Ulm Proof House antler stamp. Right side is stamped "Made in W-Germany/ HK Chantilly, Va.". Metal components exhibits a matte black enamel finish, while the forend, trigger pack, and collapsible buttstock are comprised of black polymer. Bolt carrier exhibits a matching date code "ID" and bolt bears the date code "IC" (82). CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their black enamel finish, exhibiting some very light very wear showing through to silvering on the charging handle channel and ejection port from use. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp rifling throughout. Polymer furniture is excellent, with some mild marks from handling and storage. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ONLY.
