Manufactured in 1854. Octagonal barrel, stamped on top flat with Colt address with loading lever mounted below, six shot percussion cylinder and steel frame, brass triggerguard and gripstraps, walnut grips. Overall retains a gray pitted patina, most screws are marred, missing wedge screw, entire loading lever assembly is replaced along with wedge, nipples, hammer. Polished brass triggerguard and gripstraips showing heavy edge wear, grips show very heavy wear and are nearly flat on both sides with signs of use.
