Extremely fine Finnish Lahti marked with typical “20 PST. Kiv. /39” with VKT Logo on left side of receiver and serial number. Boldly engraved “SA” marking to left of serial number. Barrel is serial numbered 3631 and does not match receiver serial number. Original muzzle cover present. One original magazine is included with this lot. This is an amnesty registered piece which transferred from the original registrant to Morphy’s for auction. This gun has not been fired since this original registrant took possession of it prior to 1968. Bolt had hardened grease on the top of it when it came into Morphy’s possession for auction. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very fine deep lustrous blue original finish with some thinning to finish in places. Wood barrel guard exhibits a couple small cracks and is otherwise extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. Firearm bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt also extremely fine. Wooden cheek rest very fine. Rubber of shoulder rest and extracted case bumper at bottom of receiver very fine. Combination skids/bipod in very good original condition. This is a registered destructive device and fires semi-automatic. Special note should be taken that the firer needs to be mindful of where both hands are when shooting this weapon as the expended case strikes the guard in front of the handgrip with great force. This is very fine example of its kind in great original condition. A fine collectible and recreational destructive device with ammunition still able to be acquired. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS A “DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE” and is also CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2020-05-068
