Manufactured by “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION/BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT U.S.A.” as indicated on right side of receiver with "U.S. PROPERTY" on top of receiver with Thompson bullet logo. This M1A1 Model of the Thompson machine was mass produced for the U.S. military during World War II and accepts only stick magazines. One 30 round "SEYMOUR PRODUCTS" magazine is included. Magazine has some scratched in letters on right side. High quality construction and materials throughout, the Thompson machine guns made at Bridgeport are the most durable of their kind. Parts are relatively common and as a military collectors item these guns hold a special place in the collector community. As a pre-86 dealer sample, this gun can be retained privately when an active FFL/SOT dealer in a "sole proprietor" status relinquishes their license, subject to any state and local restrictions, and upon BATF approval. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is extremely fine matte grey arsenal finish with some wear to grey patina at the high edges. Wood is extremely fine with some light handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. This is just a great specimen of a true American military classic World War II Thompson M1A1 machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE AS A PRE-86 DEALER SAMPLE ONLY TO ACTIVE CURRENT FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 ONLY.
