This full stock manufacture special order carbine is arguably the most ornate rifle of its type in existence. Standard features: checkered full stock, pistol grip, exhibition grade walnut stock with metal forend tip, pistol grip cap and black composition butt plate. Features two leaf folding rear sight, ramp front sight with hood, double set triggers, and butter knife bolt handle with sling swivels. All metal surfaces retain approximately 99% original blue finish. Rifle features almost complete coverage of master engraving. It appears to be factory or ordered by the factory as it is perfectly executed around the Stoeger Arms logo on the magazine floor plate. These premier custom models were provided per the craftsman at Steyr and feature animal insets in gold on the floor plate and trigger guard as well as the receiver bridge. This rifle features a solid gold long horn ram on the floor plate with solid gold antler game on bridge and trigger guard. The frame and small parts are chiseled relief engraved with flowing oak leaves. The floor plate and trigger guard are border engraved with additional scroll. The entire top length of the barrel is scroll engraved from sight to sight, all legends are sharp as new. Even the for-end cap is scroll engraved. Aside from the fore arm checking, the entire length of the stock is incised/carved with an oak leaf and acorn pattern as is the left side of stock aft the check piece. The entire right side of stock is engraved with the same oak leaf and acorn pattern with a 4” oval that features a fully carved ibex. Steyr Factory swing mounts topped with a Kaahles Austrian Model 3x-9x with line and post optics. Mint bore and action. Manufactured on the MCA 1961 model. The carvings are similar to those on the Alpine model and the .30-06 was also a custom caliber in the presentation models. Although offered by the factory they were rarely ordered due to the extreme expense and are rarely, if ever, seen on today’s market. The quality of workmanship is unsurpassed and the condition along with the exhibition craved wood combines old world artistry with modern technology. The result being one of the finest, most highly decorated, bolt action rifle ever manufactured and is without peer.
