The lock on this musket is stamped “Tower” with a crown and dated 1815. It was converted to percussion during the era. Barrel stamped “TD12297” with a larger “2387”. Metal was originally finished in the white and has aged. Two brass retaining thimbles with brass nose cap, trigger guard, and butt plate. Butt plate is missing the top screw. Barrels are retained with wedges. Missing the sling swivels. Has an ancient crude leather sling. Wood is raw, sans finish with no stampings.
