April 24-25, 2019 Extraordinary, Sporting, & Collector Firearms
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/24/2019
Produced in the 1990’s by the South Korean Daewoo Company, these shotguns take 12 gauge 2-3/4” shells and have sold pretty well to a number of Asian nations for military and security purposes. One can certainly imagine they would be an effective anti-personnel weapon and a significant deterrent to any would-be potential adversary. I would not want to be in crowd or demonstration anywhere authorities armed with these. Gilbert Equipment Company brought in a number of these in as semi-automatic, and they were classified as destructive devices because they, “serve no sporting purpose”. Six box magazines and one drum magazine is included with this lot. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish near excellent original finish with some very light handling marks. Receiver is in the white with Gilbert Equipment Co. markings. Also some light nearly indiscernible handling marks to the black composite buttstock and forend. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. Actually quite controllable after a bit of practice on the range. One can certainly see this as a VERY destructive device! THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS A DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE.
