This beauty is a standard Colt US Army Model made in 1918. Standard features include checkered wide spur hammer, long smooth trigger, flat mainspring housing, diamond checkered walnut grips, checkered slide stop and safety, type II rear sight with beveled edges and U notch. The left side of frame has eagle head proof with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Right side of slide stamped "MODEL OF 1911 US ARMY". The blue barrel has the exposed HP stamp. The magazine has pinned base, two tone temper line. Finish is rich brushed blue. CONDITION: There is a hint of high edge muzzle wear and light take down line. Retains 99% original factory blue finish with near mint bore. Right grip panel has a few dents. About as nice a 1918 as you will find and overall near mint. DB
