After the conclusion of World War II, the United States supplied Israel with many leftover 1919A4 machine guns. The Israeli military made good use of these 1919A4s, converting them to fire the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge among many other modifications. Many 1919A4s were later returned to the U.S. as parts kits, this kit being one such example. This parts kit consists of a chrome-lined 7.62x51mm NATO barrel, barrel shroud, booster, left side plate, backplate assembly, aluminum grip, bottom plate, receiver cover, 2 receiver cover catch assemblies, bolt, barrel extension, lock frame assembly, trunnion, as well as a bag containing a bolt handle, cover catch plate, extractor, front sight assembly, as well as other small components including springs, pins, and screws. CONDITION: Individual components exhibit varying degrees of wear, with most retaining the majority of their arsenal applied parkerized finish, exhibiting wear from use, handling, and storage, but overall presenting well. Israeli barrel retains a bright bore that exhibits strong rifling throughout. A very nice assortment of parts that would make for a nice addition to one's 1919A4 and enable one to continue firing at the range. MLW
