This is a very early example of a store front automaton display of a figural bulldog, most likely used as an attention grabber in the window of a store, C. 1910. The automation includes the dogs head nodding, the jaw opening and closing, and the tail wagging. CONDITION: Completely original including the collar, and all the movement linkage. The body and articulated components are in good original condition, and the box the dog is displayed upon shows light wear from age. This display piece is an early electrical version, and in wonderful condition, working perfectly.
Condition: (8.2).
Item Dimensions: 19" x 8" x 16".
