This is an important, early tin sign with a Smaltz surface and wood backing. The sign is a great example of early, handmade advertising. It is amazing it has survived this long. The gold lettering is very strong and most likely was freshened up while in use. There is a bend line running through the center of the words “Ice Cream” which has caused minor paint loss and slight darkening. The rest of the sign is in very good condition with only some minor scrapes and rubs. Signs like this rarely come up for sale, especially with this much appeal and great subject matter.
Condition: (Excellent).
Item Dimensions: 60" x 30 - 1/4".
