This thermometer was an advertisement for WM Dunning & Bro., of Providence, Rhode Island. The top reads "For Server Colds try Dr. Smith's Cough and Lung Balsam". The bottom bulb of the glass thermometer is broken off but still present. The solid pine mount has some wear at the mounting holes.
