This is just a great condition Auto-Ordnance Model 1928 A22 Thompson machine gun in .22 Long Rifle with four original 30 round magazines. Auto-Ordnance made a very limited number of these guns in response to market demand and they have become sought after .22 machine guns today. They appeal to machine gun enthusiasts due to the inexpensive ammunition cost as well as their light weight. Anybody who is used picking up a .45 Thompson who picks this gun up is in for a surprise. Much of this gun is made out of aluminum. It retains the patent dates “Auto Ordnance Corporation, West Hurley, NY" address on the right side of the receiver and has “A22” and “.22 LR” caliber to the left side receiver markings. This very light machine gun retains the features of a detachable wooden buttstock, vertical foregrip, and Cutts compensator. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original anodized black finish with slight handling marks. Wood also extremely fine with light handling marks. Bore is extremely fine shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are fine. This is a select fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2019-10-130
