Hi-Standard suppressed pistols were used extensively for clandestine operations during World War II and into Vietnam, as with the correct ammunition selection, sound could be reduced by as much as 20 decibels. Ported barrel with 44 holes, 11 on each side, copper mesh. Fixed front sight attached to suppressor shroud, wind drift adjustable notch rear sight. Bottom of shroud marked for 10X Guns from Vero Beach, Florida and serial number. Left side of frame marked with High Standard information and caliber, front strap with serial number, left side of slide with "HI-STANDARD / U.S.A. MODEL H-D", right side of frame with "PROPERTY OF / U.S.". CONDITION: Good, with some marks from handling and operation. Refinished at one point, but retains the majority of that refinish. Needs some mechanical adjustment as the slide does not return properly, otherwise operates correctly. Bore is good, although dirty, with visible rifling. Silenced .22 pistols are some of the most fun plinkers available! THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. THESE ITEMS WILL NOT BE SEPARATED. EW
