Extremely fine smooth grey refinished Harrington & Richardson Reising Model 50 machine gun with 14" barrel. One 20 round magazine lustrous blued magazine is included with lot. The Reising Model 50 was fielded in limited numbers to the Marine corps during World War II when there were insufficient Thompson machine guns to meet military demand and has the intrinsic accuracy advantage of firing from a closed bolt on the first shot. Police departments took a significant number of these Reisings into their inventories during and after World War II. A semi-automatic model with a longer barrel was also produced in response to civilian private factory security demands. Today the Reising Model 50 has gained popularity as a well-made and fun .45 ACP entry level machine gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original smooth grey matte refinish. Wood is near excellent with only the slightest of handling marks. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. It would be pretty hard to upgrade the condition of this specimen. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2019-10-162
