Manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms between October 1942 and December 1943. Barrel marked with "W" and Winchester proof. Non-import gun. Correct contractor marked internal parts including a semi-circle marked trigger group with early serrated push button safety, correct clip release and detachable spring tube. Correct marked slide and blued flat bolt. Unmarked front sight with "S" marked rear flip sight. Uncut "I" cut high wood stock with flat bottom forestock with no markings except "P" in circle on the pistol grip. Unmarked correct two rivet top wood. Unmarked wide sling swivel. Comes with "IU" marked 15 round clip with dented bottom, "SW" marked oiler with olive drab woven sling. CONDITION: Overall 80% original arsenal metal finish with shootable bore with a ME of 2. Wood has dark original finish with light handling marks. Great mechanics and carbine. DLM2019
