Attractive British Sten MK V machine gun on a Charles Erb registered receiver tube. Familiar Charles Erb bullet logo marking on left side of tube with registered serial number. Original British manufacturing markings and broad arrow proofs visible on parts of gun. One 32 round magazine included. The Sten was manufactured in great numbers for WW2 and is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stampings. It was far less costly and quicker to produce than the previous models such as the Lanchester. The Mk V model was the final configuration with wooden buttstock and handgrip and sometimes a vertical wooden foregrip. This particular receiver tube shows as model “Mk II” in the NFA registry. The difference in the Sten models was in their attachments and accessories fitted. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent smooth grey refinish. Mechanics are fine. Bore is very fine, shiny and bright with some light frosting in the grooves. Bolt face is fine. Wood exhibits typical light dings and handling marks yet remains attractive. This is a select fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2019-10-18
