This is a World War II (1943) New England manufactured set of BAR parts on a Group Industries fully transferable receiver. Flaming bomb arsenal mark with NE (New England) and 12-43 date on top of barrel. Top of receiver has standard Group Industries markings and serial number. This weapon has an original bipod, carrying handle, smooth wooden forend, and hard composite buttstock. It includes one original 20 round magazine. Various parts are marked “NE” for New England Arms. The BAR was an important component of portable firepower within the American infantry squad during World War II. It was highly effective when engaging the enemy. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent as refinished upon remanufacture with a smooth blue finish with loss of finish at the high points and thinning in some areas, most notably the buttplate and the feet of the bipod. Action is smooth when operated by hand. Bore is extremely fine, shiny & bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Stock has some slight handling marks. Magazine finish is consistent with the rest of the weapon. The Browning automatic rifle is one of the most popular machine guns out on the range, and one will no doubt bring a lot of enjoyment to the new owner. This gun presents very well indeed! THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2019-10-84
