This is a standard Beretta 92SB pistol that has had an added cut in the backstrap and an added loop at the rear of the magazine well for attachment of a shoulder stock, the same set of cuts that the 93R uses to attach a stock. Beretta only made 27 92SBs with stocks and registered them as short barrel rifles as part of a special run. The stock itself folds out before clipping into the backstrap cut and another small cut on the left side of the grip, attaching very firmly. Beretta stock is quite sturdy and made out of a combination of a machined fore piece and a sheet metal pivoting piece. Comes in a cardboard box correctly numbered to gun with extra standard length magazine, paperwork. CONDITION: Very fine, showing only very light evidence of use. Stock attaches firmly. Operates correctly with a fine sharp bore. Accompanying this lot is a letter from Russell Logan, the Military Marketing Manager of Beretta, to the renowned collector of Berettas, Bradley Taylor, confirming that the run of 27 92SBs was unique. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES APPROVAL FROM BATF PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR FORM 4. EW CORRECTION: Please note that although this firearm has been declared by the BATF to be, "removed from the provisions of the National Firearms Act and classified as a curio or relic", it nonetheless is currently registered as, and was transferred to Morphy's as a Short Barreled Rifle. As such, it needs to be transferred out on an ATF form 3 or 4. The winning bidder of this lot may officially request in writing to the BATF for the removal of this gun from the provisions of the National Firearms Act, and upon approval, then, and only then, can this firearm be transferred as a Curio and Relic without an ATF Form 3 or 4.
