Outstanding high condition specimen of the Walther manufactured MPL machine gun. Includes two 32 round magazines. Marked with Walther banner logo on left side of lower receiver and typical German ambidextrous selector markings of, “S”, “D” and “E” (Safe, Full, and Semi-Auto to us here in America), this machine gun has a folding steel shoulder loop covered in hard gray enamel paint, hard brown composite grips. The “L” in MPL indicates “Lang” or “Long” in German, and is their designation for the longer-barreled model. This designation “Mod. lang” is on the left side of the upper assembly. Lower assembly serial number is 29365 and bears 1971 proof mark. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original dull gray finish. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. This is a select fire machine gun. A very well made, good running, and popular tactical and recreational machine guns.
