These guns were made by the Crescent Davis Arms Corp from 1930 until 1934. Total production of approximately 4,000. They were made to compete with the H&R Handy Gun for home defense and small game shooting. This gun is marked "PROOF TESTED 410 GAUGE" on top, and "2 1/2" SHELLS" on left side of barrel. Case hardened top lever hammer action is marked "CRESCENT CERTIFIED SHOTGUN" "CRESCENT - DAVIS ARMS CORPORATION" "NORWICH, CONN, U.S.A." on left side. Grip frame is cast integral with action and serial number is on butt. Slab grips are of walnut. Splinter type forend has spring tension release. CONDITION: Very fine with most of the original case colors on the frame and barrel blue. Markings are sharp and clear. Wood has minor handling marks. Bore is fine. Fine mechanical function. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM WILL INCUR A $5.00 TRANSFER TAX IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 CLASSIFIED AS "ANY OTHER WEAPON". GR
