This is one of 2,500 guns build using the Flues model action, commonly referred to as a "Model A". These were made from 1921 until 1925. 10 inch barrels are chambered for the 2 1/2 inch 20 gauge shell. Saw handle wood grip with large spur to help the hand absorb recoil. Engraved "AUTO & BURGLAR GUN/ ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA. NY" on either side of the receiver. Checkered grip and forend. CONDITION: Retains 15% case colors on receiver mixed with a pleasing patina. Barrels retain 85% dull blue finish with some light pitting. Markings are clear. Wood has dings and handling marks, showing use. Checkering is worn but good. Bores are very good with some slight frosting. Fine mechanical function. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
