Desirable example of the US M60E4 machine gun. This gun incorporates the improvements implemented in the mid-1990’s with the most notable being the bipod attachment to receiver and an improved gas regulator system over the E3 model. Lighter weight than the base base M-60 model which was the staple for US forces during the Vietnam War and into the contemporary Army era. Instantly recognizable by veterans and as seen in films, its steady rate of fire combined with the ability to quickly change barrels make it a very popular machine gun. The external serial number at left side of the trunnion is the only visible serial number. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine original finish. Feed tray shows some loss of finish where the belt rides. Inside of receiver extremely fine. Top cover has slight loss of finish. Composite furnishings extremely fine. Mechanics are fine. Bore is extremely fine shiny and bright. A fine machine gun for the modern military machine gun enthusiast. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2019-10-229
