This is a four-selection cigar vending machine from Peter Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, c. 1904. Peter Mfg. Co. made several sizes of this same vending machine, where the law at the time required the tax stamp to be visible at the time of use. This machine has an additional brass tag identifying "Illinois Axle, Skein, & Nut Lock Co." out of Pana, Ill. as manufacturers. This happens to be the same machine as pictured in "Silent Salesman Too", page 223. The cigar vending machine comes with a custom built stand in quartered oak, cast-iron legs, and accessory drawer. A stunning example of a difficult cigar vending machine to locate. This vending machine is in original patina, with original finish to the oak cabinet and some plating loss and oxidation to the metal coin mechanism pieces. Retains an original operating card to the back door, has keys, and includes 4 display cigar boxes for the inside compartment. Operating, but difficult with today's cigar sizes. Has keys.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

Condition: (Very Good).
