This "L" shaped vending machine is marked for Champion and is patented May 16, 1899. Made for the Wilburs "Sweet Clover" gum and Good Health Pepsin Gum. The porcelain panels are mounted to an oak case, with beautiful red and white graphics including that of a cherub on the front door, and marked for Brilliant Mfg. Co. in Philadelphia, the makers of the porcelain panels. The front panel includes the original porcelain flavor tags for the columns. Condition is all original, the front door panel has slight chipping to the outside edges on two sides, and there is some staining to the porcelain, but not distracting from the bright color. The wood backing to the front panel has been replaced. The right side panels have some chipping along the upper edge, and bottom edge of the upper panel, and there is a small chip out of the back corner of the wooden base. The left side upper panel has two small 1/8" chips in the outer edge, and slight staining to both panels. The interior columns have the gum weights, and the machine works with keys. Referenced in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 155.
