The first has old early pieces of wool-like rope for hair, two black steel eyes and a prominent white tooth, all these features giving the ring toss carving a unique look. The second is a brightly colored carnival head, probably a ball toss piece, possibly emanating an Oriental look. The third has old black and red original paint, coupled with a hand-sewn bonnet made of very early felt-like fabric. All three of these ring toss and ball toss carnival carvings have original paint and loss consistent with age and use. The first has multiple areas of scratches, dings, scuffs, cracking and the nose is attached by nails, but is original to the piece. Second has multiple areas of paint loss, dings, scratches and cracks, also missing the tip of the nose. Third has multiple scratches, dings, cracks and scuffs, which only seem to add to the character of this ball toss carving.
