(A) A monkey form and hiker with a backpack to hold the matches in cast bronze, holding a jug that could have held kerosene in order to create a lighter for the matches. CONDITION: The holder shows areas of light wear from age. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs noted. (B) A cast bronze young soldier dressed in an early uniform, with an open drum to his left that held the matches. There is a cigar extending from his mouth that was used to light the matches. The hat of the figure opens to where the kerosene was located. CONDITION: The holder shows light wear and patina from age, but no cracks, breaks or repairs noted.
