Very high-quality Finnish manufactured Valmet Model 78 which is essentially a finer made and fitted version of the AK-47 platform. Manufactured and imported prior to May 1986, and converted to a machine gun by William (“Happiness is a Warm Machine Gun”) Fleming by installing one of his registered auto-sears. We should all extend thanks to those forward-thinking manufacturers who made and registered auto-sears for private ownership. Firing at a rate of about 700-750 rounds per minute these guns are extremely fun to shoot in 7.62mm. This specimen is a fixed wooden stock version and includes a total of five original steel magazines. Marked with typical factory markings on left side of receiver with "VALMET INC." Electronic NFA registry indicates "FLEMING,WILLIAM DBA FLEMING FIREARMS" as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original smooth gray matte blue finish with some barely discernible handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Wood and composite furnishings near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. An extremely well-made machine gun which is also a very fun recreational shooter. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2025-05-002.
