Fabulous factory original Heckler & Koch registered receiver G3-A3 machine gun with “HK” proof on left side of magazine well. Typical “Made in Germany”, “HK” code indicating 1979 manufacture, and “ArL. VA. 22201 Kal. .308” on right side of magazine well. Bolt, carrier, and all furniture correctly dated coded to 1979. One original “HK” marked 30 round magazine, correctly dated 12/79, is also included with this lot. This gun was originally equipped with a bipod with the correct original handguard with recesses. Trigger assembly is a swing-down with three position selector “S, E, F”. Black composite buttstock, handgrip, and forend. Electronic NFA Registry indicates “HECKLER AND KOCH GMBH” as the manufacturer. The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATF) is in the process of removing restrictions on what they call "GOVT Use Exception" previously Pre-86 Dealer Sample restricted machine guns. This is one such gun. This particular gun has been verified by the BATF by serial number as having had its restrictions removed, and as such, is now Fully Transferable to individuals. Manufacturer’s information such as “Imported NFA Firearm” is not being changed incidental to this process. PROVENANCE: Hard copy of BATF Email substantiating this gun is unrestricted, Fully Transferable. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original factory gray tinted finish with some brassing to the finish at and below the ejection port. Composite furnishings of buttstock, pistol, and forend grip are near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. The very few factory original Heckler and Koch guns which are becoming fully transferable to individuals will undoubtedly command a premium now, and into the foreseeable future. This is a very rare and desirable item. Something for the discerning and forward-thinking collector/investor as well as the shooting enthusiast.
